Caught Up In You A Caught Up Novel Book 1 edition by Colee Firman Literature Fiction eBooks
If you're looking for a rainbows and butterflies HEA building from the start, this is not for you. Caught Up in You is messy, complicated, full of near misses and two stubborn protagonists that can’t seem to get it right. It’s brutal, raw, and incredibly real. Relationships aren’t perfect but that doesn’t mean they can’t change your life and surprise you in the strangest of ways.PROS:
Myles is an arrogant, rude, pushy jerk. If you’re not into the rough, aggressive type that hurts verbally as much as he loves because he reacts before he thinks, yeah, maybe skip this. Myles is sexy. He’s masculine, charming when he wants to be, flirty, hyper sexual, and made of hot touches that suggest so much more. The anticipation is killer. He’s also touchy, angers easily, and makes ridiculous assumptions that will have you shaking your head. Myles is jaded. Hit with an accusation that destroyed his hopes for an Ivy League feature, Myles is guarded and doesn’t trust women. Though always apprehensive and volatile, Myles has no trouble attracting the opposite sex. Myles talks dirty in a blunt, eyebrow arching way that will leave you flushed and hanging on his every word.
Brantley’s past is dark and tragic. The mystery of her scars drive much of the plot and as Myles attempts to unravel her secrets, her hesitancy to open her heart is justified. Brantley is adorable in her knee socks and pigtails, she’s a funny bartender, feisty, and yeah, she likes to yell. She hold a grudge like nobody’s business. She’s crazy likable even if her emotions are in a constant state of uncertainty. When she opens up and admits her true feelings to herself it’s heartbreaking. She’s willing to sacrifice her heart for safety and her bleak acceptance of love without passion is achingly sad.
Together, Brantley and Myles are an explosive combination of scorching lust and anger. They’re fire and ice. When they give into their feelings it’s HOT. Scenes are sensual and detailed. Told from both perspectives you get an insiders look at feelings and thoughts.
The storyline was creative. A random disaster, unexpected close quarters, a surprise. Each new hurdle keeps the reader on his/her toes and pushes the story forward.
CONS:
The secondary characters were interesting but lacked real development in the story. The only characters who had any definition with extended relationship to the main characters were those who posed a threat to the romance between Myles and Brantley. Obnoxious love interests and past flings were highlighted but there was nothing likable about them or endearing enough to pose a true danger to the romance. Some sections felt random, like they were inserted for the sake of adding some drama to the story.
Gossip and rumors, misinterpretations and assumptions dictated every move. It was a little excessive how often they got it wrong. The fury is real and it hits hard.

Caught Up In You A Caught Up Novel Book 1 edition by Colee Firman Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Great series
What an emotional rollercoaster. Myles and Brantley have such amazing strength to save their relationship. It hooked me in the first chapter. If you are looking for a book that pulls you in with the characters and makes you feel like one of them then this is the one for you.
I enjoyed the book, for the most part, but I would be afraid of someone with Myle's jealousy.
Great turns twists with some titillation to go with it ! ! Enjoyable story light and some heavy lives ...to follow main character.
I liked the depths of the two main characters and how their relationship developed. They always seem to have bad timing in their relationship but at the end they get to live happily ever after.
Received copy for honest review
HEA with no cliffhanger
Well written with good characters. We even get an epilogue.
Brantley and Myles were both hurt from things in their past. Neither were looking to start a relationship. I enjoyed Brantley and hiw she stood up to Myles when he was rude and mean to her. She got right I his face. Myles was a first class jerk. Even after finding out what happened to him didn't excuse hus behavior towards Brantley. His back and forth was annoying. He could have handled things so much better. He was older by a couple of years but Brantley was more mature. Of course what she went through would make you grow up really fast. The story was a little angst filled. A couple of times I wanted to cry. I look forward to Wyatt's story.
What a story. It's not very often I read straight up romantic fiction, but, hell this was phenomenal! Once I started I couldn't but it down. ( Even on the bus, and I get sick when I read on the bus.)
At times I did want to crack some heads, just to knock some sense into both of them. It was like watching a very awkward dance, one involving a lot if missed timings and stepped on toes. Ducks, they where baby ducks.
The scars on both their hearts ( body) had my heart feels ripped to pieces and my head spinning. No one should have to go through what these two did. Having to pick up the pieces of a shattered life and start over, while tying to keep some type of sanity, messy. No wonder they bounced off one another like opposite magnets. To many glass walls, to much to lose.
I highly recommend this novel. It isn't just another one of your typical romantic fiction, it's so much more than that. The only way to truly understand, is to pick up this book and read it yourself.
Thank you Colee Firman for for giving me the opportunity to read this extraordinary novel.
Cheers.
